OUR STORIES
The Holidays, Transitions, and Giving Ourselves Permission in Vanlife
Vanlife, in many ways, is a vehicle for transition. It gives us the ability to change our surroundings, step into new environments, and open ourselves to fresh experiences, routines, and traditions. Sometimes that’s freeing. Sometimes it stirs up grief for what we’ve left behind — or what has left us without our choosing.
The holidays can amplify those feelings. They often bring a swirl of shoulds — how we “should” celebrate, what family “should” look like, or how we “should” feel. But in truth, there’s no one right way. Whether your circle includes work family, chosen family, bio family, or no family at all — the holidays are yours to shape.
The Emotional Side of Vanlife: Fear, Loneliness, Excitement, and Everything in Between
When most people think of vanlife, they picture winding roads, mountain views, or cozy mornings with coffee in hand. And while that’s part of it, there’s another layer that doesn’t get talked about enough: the emotional journey. Imagine feelings of calm, peace, awe and freedom … but that’s just the surface.
In our recent women’s vanlife Zoom call, we opened up a safe space to talk about what really comes up when you live on the road. What came up was beautiful, raw, and honest.

Colorado Campout, Dispersed Camping & Altitude Sickness
We had an amazing group campout in Colorado! The cameraderie, sharing, activities and lessons learned were invaluable. We’re looking forward to many more campouts in the future!
Here’s a few of our learnings:
Altitude can sneak up on you.
Getting out of your comfort Zone is sometimes the push you need
Campfire building
Finding Dispersed Campsites
Safety in Vanlife (and in our bodies)
Safety in Vanlife
We recently had a discussion with women about safety on the road. It was very helpful for many of us and I want to share some thoughts.
Our fears on the road are a lot of times just in our heads. The fear is based on the story we are telling ourselves- which has to do with what messages we have been fed our whole life.
Do you need that final push, support and mentoring to finally pull the plug on vanlife?
We would love to mentor and coach you past your analysis paralysis and into being on the road.
